Manns Family Funeral Home - LivoniaWarren “Butch” Vernon Bright II, 81, of Livonia, MI passed away on June 23, 2025. He was born in Springfield, Missouri on February 5, 1944, to Warren Vernon Bright and Esther (nee. Winn). He graduated from Wayne Memorial Hight School in 1963.
He married Sandra June (nee. Calhoun) Bright on March 19,1964. She was the mother of their two beloved children, Paul and Chrissi.
Butch was married to Karen Branch on May 9, 1993 and they were happily married for 33 years.
Butch worked for 35 years at Ford Motor Company and was a Line Leader at the Rawsonville Ford Motor Company in Belleville.
He enjoyed creating beautiful stained glass; gardening, any form of home improvement, summers at the cabin, time with family and friends, and all things golf. He loved volunteering at Idyl Wyld Golf Course in Livonia, but his passion was traveling anywhere with his wife, Karen.
Butch is survived by his wife, Karen; son, Paul; daughter, Christine (David) Gardner; stepdaughters Christie (Jeff) Piastowski and Kimberly Branch; grandchildren, Ayako, Kent, Drake, Alyssa and Erika; brother-in-law, Roy Johnston….and Rusty the cat.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Esther, and his sister, Lynne.
Visitation will be held August 6, 2025 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM with a memorial service at 3:00 PM at Manns Family Funeral Home, 17000 Middlebelt, Livonia 48154. A reception will follow at Knights of Columbus Livonia, 19801 Farmington Road, Livonia 48152.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to S.O.U.L -Source of Universal Love at www.sourceofuniversallove.com
