Obituary of Warren P. Clark Jr.
Warren P. Clark Jr., 90, of Amsterdam, NY passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at St Mary's Hospital.
Warren was born on January 1, 1934, in Nashua, N.H to the late Loretta A. (Pinette) and Warren P. Clark Sr. He graduated from Arlington High School in June of 1953. After school, he joined the United States Marine Corps and attained the rank of Sergeant. He spent time in Europe, North Carolina, and Norfolk, VA.
After his discharge in 1957, Warren worked for BenMont Paper Co. In Bennington, Vermont. He then moved to Amsterdam where he was employed through several jobs throughout his career including General Telephone Co in Johnstown, General Electric in Schenectady, Trustco Bank in Schenectady, and Fleet Bank in Albany. Warren also spent 11 years as an E.M.T with GAVAC Ambulance Corp, eventually earning his way to Maintenance Lieutenant.
Warren married his loving wife Rita Lee on October 14, 1956. Together they had two sons, W. Bruce and Dale C. Clark.
In his spare time, Warren enjoyed fishing, hunting, and woodworking.
He was predeceased by his parents Loretta and Warren Sr.
Warren is survived by his wife of over 60 years Rita Lee Clark; his two sons W. Bruce and his wife Dorothy of Perth, NY as well as Dale C. and his wife Tami of Granville, NY; grandchildren Matthew Clark and his wife Michelle of Virginia, Daniel Clark of Tennessee, as well as Patricia and Abigail Clark of Granville, brother-in-law Kenneth Lee and his wife Shirley; sister-in-law Carol Lee; along with several nieces and nephews.
Warren will be interred on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 11am in the columbarium wall at Gerald B.H Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery with military honors.
