Warren R. "Randy" Striver

Warren R. "Randy" Striver, 77, passed away peacefully at home October 27, 2025. Born in Akron, Ohio to Warren and Edna (Cole) Striver, he was a lifelong area resident. Randy graduated from Garfield High School and then served his country in the U. S. Navy. He retired from AT&T after 24 years of service. Randy enjoyed classic cars, collecting antiques, golfing, camping and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his sister, Cheryl Striver. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 56 years, Ruthi; daughter, Shawn (Troy) Prater; son, Shane Striver; grandsons, Aaron (Kaitlyn), Derrick, Chad; great-grandchildren, Lillian, Maxwell, Julianna, Trevor; and a host of strays.

Family and friends are invited to visit Friday, November 7, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Randy's name to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital.
