Wave was born in Summit, NJ on January 29, 1951; a son of the late Wave and Elizabeth (Carroll) Smith. Wave graduated from Ridgefield High School and attended DePauw University and Northeastern University. He was a retired Technical Engineer for Schlumberger- Doll. Wave was a world traveler and enjoyed playing golf and tennis. He was an avid Mets fan.
Wave is survived by his wife Gloria and their children; Fred Gama Souza, Aline Vieira Gama Souza and their children Jullia, Andrew, and Henrique. He is also survived by his sister Anne Mory (Rob), his nephew Rob Mory and a brother David Smith (Cindy).
Services will take place privately. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Wave was a longtime supporter of their efforts.
Kane Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
