Wayne Thomas Foran, 84, of Montpelier, VT passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
Wayne was born on October 2, 1940 in the town of Stowe, VT, the son of Harold Foran Sr. and Gertrude (Gordon) Foran. He attended Stowe High School and later earned his G.E.D.
Wayne married Virginia (Richardson) Foran of Barre on July 8, 1961. Together they had four children, two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Wayne worked in the granite industry in Barre as a polisher until he retired in 2000. He was also a member of the Elks Club of Barre, the Canadian Club of East Montpelier, and the Moose Club of Barre.
Wayne especially enjoyed spending time with family, watching Red Sox baseball and Nascar, and occasional trips to the casino with his sister.
Remaining to cherish Wayne's memory are his children, Thomas Foran of Barre, VT, Patrick Foran and his wife, Shawna, of Berlin, VT, Kimberly (Foran) Kimball and her husband, Robert, of Barre, VT; his grandchildren, Joshua Foran and his wife, Rebecca, and Patrick Foran; great-grandchildren, Isabella and Maxton Foran; brother, Paul Foran and his wife, Sandy, of Sanora, KY; sisters, Priscilla Adkins of Tampa, FL and Sandra Monti of Barre, VT and her companion, Richard Finn, of Waterbury, VT.
Wayne is preceded in death by his infant son, Robert Foran; his parents, Harold and Gertrude Foran; brothers, Warren Foran (Martha) of Chesapeake, VA and Harold Foran (Marie) of Stowe, VT; sister, Mrs. Nathan (Wilberta) Gabree of Pensacola, FL, and Wayne's long-time companion, Loretta Morse of East Montpelier, VT.
