Gary "Peter" Fisher

Gary "Peter" Fisher, age 69, died in his Morrisville, Vermont home on 18 May 2025 after a rich and full life, with his daughter Gigi, and pets Bo and Shadow present. Peter fought cancer for almost five years while continuing to take care of his home with his exceptional problem-solving skills. His parents, Gary and Joy Fisher, died in 2012. Peter was born in Burlington on 28 September 1955 and grew up in the home designed and built by his parents in Stowe, Vermont. Peter married Carole Arlette Suciu on 12 July 1996 in Stowe. They were blessed to have daughter Gigi Angeline on 15 October 1997. Peter called Gigi his best friend and Gigi said the same of her Dad.
Peter graduated from Stowe High School and began his long love of skiing as a ski instructor at Mt. Mansfield. He extended his ski adventures at Hidden Valley, Lake Tahoe. Later Peter became a certified motorcycle repair mechanic spending some time in Colorado, Chicago, and Boston, but he always returned to his beloved Vermont. He expanded his skills in Stowe to also repair autos. Peter was well-loved by a wide circle of friends and his many dogs.
In 1997 Carole and Peter (with young Gigi) opened Mes Amis on the Mountain Road in Stowe. This highly successful French restaurant with Carole as Chef, served inspired food for a decade. For most of its existence, Peter, Carole, Carole's father George, and Gigi lived above the restaurant. Later the family moved to Morrisville.
Peter is survived by his wife Carole Fisher and daughter Gigi Fisher of Morrisville, Vermont, and sister Susan and husband Allan Haenisch of Alexandria, Virginia
No funeral services will be held. A celebration of Peter's life will be held at Deb Kehoe Larsen's home on 14 June from 2:30pm to 6:00pm, 600 West Shaw Hill Road, Stowe Vermont. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Lamoille Home Health and Hospice, 54 Farr Avenue, Morrisville Vermont 05661.
