Wayne Patrick Group, 54, of Chambersburg, PA passed away unexpectedly Monday, November 11, 2024 in Adams County, PA. Born September 6, 1970 in Biglerville he was the son of the late Tarence and Nancy (Showers) Group.
He was employed at Hanover Fiber Glass and as a butcher. Wayne was currently employed as a custodian at the Chambersburg Area Senior High School and just celebrated 10 years with the school district. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers. More than anything Wayne loved and cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Marcia A. “Marci” (Laughlin) Group; three daughters, Krystal Group, Ashley Lynch, and Mariah Fisher; nine grandchildren, Hope, Arianna, Elizabeth, Wesley, Brently, Landon, Caylee, Emma and Peyton; two brothers, Brian Group and Vern Group and his wife Nancy; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends to celebrate Wayne's life Sunday, November 17, 2024 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM in the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Sprig Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
