Wayne McQueeney passed away August 15th, born December 30, 1950 at Rockville Center.
He grew up in Southampton attending Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary school, graduating from Southampton High School, served in the Navy on the aircraft carrier USS Ranger. Wayne was an avid golfer, fisherman, sports fan including Nascar races and beach lover. You could often find him on the links, at the beach, watching or attending Nascar and Riverhead Races.
Wayne moved to Dutchess County where he worked along side of his parents at St. Peter's Cemetary. He then relocated back to Southampton to caddy at Sebonack Golf Club. He had a great sense of humor, concern for family and friends and was liked by all who met him.
Wayne is preceded by his parents, James and Gloria McQueeney. He is survived by his twin brother, Robert (Michele), sister Debbie (Craig), nephews Sean (Taylor), James (Maru) and the love of his life, Wendy Schneps, along with many extended family, loved ones and friends.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to all the doctors, nurses and caregivers who attended his needs, care and comfort especially Unit C at The Hamptons Center and The Phillips Family Cancer Center.
