Mr. Wayne A. Speller, II
The world was gifted with the loving and gentle spirit of Wayne A. Speller, II, who was called home June 9, 2021, by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Wayne was born in Petersburg, Virginia on September 15, 1995, to Kachite Speller of Newark, NJ. and Wayne Speller of Williamston, NC. Wayne accepted the Lord at an early age and was baptized in the name of Jesus. He was a member of Rockhill Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Phillip E. Knight, Sr.
Wayne lived in Prince George, VA. for over 14 years. Childhood memories included enjoying a loving home full of caring sisters and brothers, who called him "Wayne-Wayne." He looked forward to family gatherings, especially road trips during the summers and holidays. Everyone looked forward to his peaceful and calming presence, and all cherished his sincere hugs that always came with a loving smile. Throughout the years, he shared his gift of gaming skills with family and friends. He maintained a superb collection of action figures and enjoyed the physical training involved in his study of martial arts with Shihan Dai Blizzard at World Oyamas Karate Dojo in Hopewell, VA.
Wayne was a smart student, who was commended for both attendance and character. He graduated from Prince George High School in 2014. Thereafter, he furthered his education at Richard Bland College of William and Mary, in South Prince George, VA, where he pursued a degree in Game Design. Wayne worked at the Sabra Warehouse as an assembly worker. He was proud that his family provided service to others in order to better our world, which included military and law enforcement service, as well as medical careers.
Wayne was preceded in death by his Grandparents Charlie B. and Ruth J. Speller of Williamston, NC; Betty Norfleet and James Sounder both of Newark, NJ; and Ellis Hampton of Prince George, VA.
Wayne is survived by his loving and devoted mother and father, Kachite and Wayne Speller of Prince George, VA; four siblings, Damon Flowers of Richmond, VA, Jason Flowers of Picayune, MS, Katrina Flowers and Miyoshi Speller of Prince George, VA; and a host of nieces and nephews. He is also survived by Grandma Marlene Hampton; a host of aunts and uncles; two best friends Malik Lewis and Deantre Goodwyn; along with his Godmother Cassandra Watts of Whitsett, NC.
Though reserved in manner, Wayne valiantly took on a warrior's spirit as he faced numerous health challenges. Wayne would want us to remember his smile, his upstanding character, and that he followed the paths that lead to patience and understanding.
In the midst of their grief, the family of Wayne Speller II extends a loving thank you to family, church members, and friends for the love and heart felt support shown during the loss of their loved one.
