He was a member of the New Beginnings Baptist Church and loved to start his mornings with his coffee crew at Whataburger.
He is survived by his brother & sister-in-law, Bill & Mary Jane Whitaker; brother & sister-in-law, Joe & Karen Whitaker; Kayla Thomas, whom he raised from the age of 4, her spouse Jared and their daughter, Makenzi; numerous nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Cynthia Whitaker.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the New Beginnings Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the service at the church
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cypress Basin Hospice.
