Wendell Stephens Obituary
Wendell Vinson Stephens, age 80, of Kingston Springs, TN, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 19, 2025.
A proud Tennessean, Wendell was a graduate of Litton High School and Middle Tennessee State University. After a successful career, he embarked on a second career as a dedicated truck driver, where he made a significant impact on his company by successfully advocating for all drivers to receive a 401K retirement plan. Wendell always had a warm smile and a kind word for all those he came in contact with. He will also be remembered for his love of the outdoors, which included fishing and planning cross-country vacations, as well as his competitive spirit, which came out when playing cards or shooting pool with friends.
Wendell was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary (Harbison) Stephens, his parents, Harold and Janie Stephens, and his brother, Philip Stephens.
He is survived by his son, Jason (Meridith) Stephens; his daughter, Jennifer Stephens Oates (Jim); his grandsons, Cole and Austin Stephens; and his brother, David Stephens.
Visitation will be Friday, September 26, 2025 from 1:00pm ~ 2:00pm with a Celebration of Life at 2:00pm all at Harpeth Hills Funeral home.
