Wendy Meyer Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Langkamp Funeral Chapel & Crematory on Jan. 15, 2026.
Wendy Meyer, 64, of Oskaloosa, passed away on the evening of January 14, 2026, at MercyOne Hospital in Des Moines.

Wendy Lee Meyer, daughter of Wendell Elmer Erwin and Ethel Joy (Nielsen) Dietrich, was born on August 31, 1961, in Price, Utah. When Wendy was young, her family lived in various cities. She graduated from L.D. Bell High School in Hurst, Texas, in 1980. After graduation, Wendy attended Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, and earned a bachelor's degree in business in 1985. She met Greg Arthur Meyer during her sophomore year at Wartburg while he was a freshman. The two were married on September 5, 1982, in New London, Minnesota. After they graduated, they made their home in Atlantic, Iowa, where they resided from 1986 to 1989. They then moved to Oskaloosa.

Wendy was employed by Supersweet Feeds and then by Interpower in 1995, where she worked for 30 years. She had most recently served as a Customer Research Specialist.

Wendy loved her grandchildren and spending time with them. She was an excellent seamstress and made all of her children's clothing when they were first married; sewing was her passion. Many loved ones will greatly miss her warmth and care.

Those left to cherish Wendy's memory are her husband, Greg; her children: Tiffany (Alan) Bagley of Ottumwa; Nathan (Holli Langman) Meyer of New Sharon; Ashley (Brandon) Presley of Baldwinsville, New York; eleven grandchildren: Khelee Meyer; Dallas Langman; Anna Meyer; Phoenix Jones; Reece Meyer; Emma Langman; Carson Presley, Dominic Presley; Everett Presley; Faxon Presley; Lila Langman; her siblings: Trudy (Victor) Johnson of Inver Heights, Minnesota and Douglas Dietrich of New Prague, Minnesota; one niece and four nephews.

Wendy was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services for Wendy will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 19, 2026, at Langkamp Funeral Chapel with Rev. Molly Goodrich of First Christian Church officiating. Visitation will begin at noon on Sunday, with the family present to greet friends and relatives from 2 – 4 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Stephen Memorial Animal Shelter or the American Diabetes Association.
