Wesley Monroe Bowman

Mr. Wesley Monroe Bowman, age 82, of Dobson, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 26, 2025, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Mr. Bowman was born November 5, 1943, in Stokes County NC to the late Johnny William Bowman and the late Annie Roberta Koins Bowman. Mr. Bowman was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather and a member of New Home Church of Christ. He also worked at Lowes Home Improvement until his retirement.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Nancy Louise Marion Bowman; his daughter and son-in-law, Nancy Gail Bowman Welch and Stephen Welch; his son and daughter-in-law, Michael Monroe Bowman and Trish Bowman; grandchildren, Amanda Hale, Ashley Graham (Giles), Austen Welch (Sarah), and Morgan Bowman; 9 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Louise May and Virginia Peele; and his brothers, Lee Bowman, Clifford Bowman, Clayton Bowman, and Calvin Bowman.

The family will receive friends Monday, December 29, 2025, from 1:00-2:00 PM at New Home Church of Christ. A celebration of his life will follow at 2:00 with Brother Tim Smith officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Children’s Center of Northwest North Carolina, PO Box 692, Dobson NC 27017. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Bowman family.
