Wesley Foxwell, aged 68, passed peacefully at home in Dunnsville on the morning of February 12th, 2025. Wes was an incredibly special person. His kindness knew no limits and he was a blessing to those who knew him.
Wes was born on April 10th, 1956 to his parents, Shirley and Franklin Foxwell, who both predecease him. He is also predeceased by his brother, Kevin Foxwell. Wes is survived by his wife of 31 years, Judy Foxwell. He was a wonderful father to his two daughters: Kira Foxwell and Canvas Foxwell as well as his son: Shade Foxwell. He is also survived by his other two siblings, Karen Padgett and Stephen Foxwell.
Wes had such a special talent when it came to anything artistic or creative. One of his very favorite things to do was to make people smile through his artwork. Wes always loved to draw. He started out drawing horses in his childhood, and he continued that passion as he got older to create amazing portraits and pieces for so many people. If Wes wasn’t drawing, he was carving away with his brother, Stephen, to create their next wood carved masterpiece.
For years, he was a member of Howerton’s Baptist Church in Dunnsville. Wes’ church family meant a lot to him and he loved using his God given talents to make church events extra special. Together with his wife, they would sculpt, paint, and create decorations to elevate the church’s Vacation Bible School and holiday events. Wesley was devoted to making things as special as he could for his incredible church family.
The loss of Wesley Foxwell has left a void in the hearts of those who loved him. He spent his life caring for those around him, being creative, making people laugh, and following the Lord. Wes was a devout Christian and wouldn’t hesitate to share the gospel to those around him. He always said that he wanted to be on the sunrise and sunset design committee when he returns to his Heavenly home. We are gaining comfort in knowing he is doing just that, hopefully while watching his football game reruns that he enjoyed. With each beautiful sunrise and sunset we see, we will think of him and how much of a blessing he was to us all.
A celebration of life for Wes Foxwell will be announced at a later date. His family looks forward to getting together with all those who considered Wes a friend during his life.
