Weston Eric Moss, a beloved 12 year old with an extraordinarily caring heart and the most incredible smile passed away peacefully at home in the arms of his loving parents on Monday, January 12, 2026 after a two year battle with Ewing's Sarcoma, a rare pediatric bone cancer.
Weston was born and raised in
Salem, NH. He graduated from the Fisk Elementary School and was in the 6th grade at the Woodbury School. Weston spent 6.5 years adventuring and building lifelong friendships as a Boy Scout, earning his Arrow of Light Award as a member of Cub Scout Pack 160 and achieved the rank of Tenderfoot in Boy Scout Troop 267. Weston had a creative spirit with an amazing eye for detail. He was a talented artist, crafter, writer and video game designer, and also an amazing LEGO builder. He loved all things Super Mario, especially the Goombas, and dreamed of one day working at Nintendo to design a Goomba-themed video game.
Weston faced every challenge in life with extraordinary grace and wisdom far beyond his years. He thought always of others before himself, and felt deeply called to making the world a better place. He raised money for multiple cancer charities and often volunteered his time to local nonprofits. For his 11th birthday, Weston hosted a Lego drive and donate over 500 Lego sets to the Jimmy Fund clinic to support other kids going through cancer treatment. He also sold handmade crafts at a local craft fair and donated the proceeds to charity as well. His selflessness shone brightest in his final wish; that his mom establish a nonprofit named Weston's Big Wish, dedicated to supporting children battling cancer, to help brighten their days, ease their burden and to give them a more hopeful future than his own.
Weston reminded everyone around him that being happy and being kind is what matters most and encouraged finding joy in every circumstance, no matter how bleak. His infectious smile lit up every room. Right up to the end, it never faded but remained a brilliant beacon full of warmth and pure joy.
Though his time on earth was far too short, Weston's legacy of kindness, courage and hope will live on through the lives he touched and the foundation created in his name. His light continues to inspire kindness and joy to all who knew him and even many who did not. The Moss family would like to thank the community for their outpouring of love and support throughout Weston's battle.
Weston is survived by his devoted parents Kelly and James Moss; his brothers, Lincoln and Parker, who shared countless laughs and adventures with him; his maternal grandmother, Donna Lyons of Avon, MA; his paternal grandparents, Dan and Debbie Moss of Monroe, OR; multiple Aunts and Uncles; 4 cousins and his 3 cherished dogs, Cub, Scout and Tails who were always ready to snuggle and brought smiles to his face on even the hardest days.
He was predeceased by his grandfather, Paul Lyons.
