Delta C. Batten, 73, of Canal Winchester, OH, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, October 2, 2025. She was born on July 30, 1952, in Gallipolis, OH, to Paul and G. Kathern (Shupe) Casto.

She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed crafts, puzzles, time with family and friends, and loving people through random acts of kindness. She brought joy to others with her contagious smile and sense of humor.

Delta worked for the Groveport Madison School District where she served students and staff for the past 11 years. Earlier in life, she had earned her State of Ohio Beautician License, a certification which she proudly held in good standing for 50 years. Alongside her husband, she also devoted 40 years of her life to faithful Christian ministry to families and children in the Greater Cleveland area through the Church of the Nazarene.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Philip Batten; her mother, G. Kathern Casto; and her sister, Paula Kennedy.

Delta will be deeply missed by her sons, Andy and Jamey Batten; her father, Paul Casto; her sisters, Nancy (Steve) Miller and Penny (Denny) Berger; her brother, Willard (Judy) Casto; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

In accordance with Delta’s wishes, a Celebration of Life service will be held in November at Grove City Church of the Nazarene. Further details will be shared at a later date. The family has entrusted Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, Ashville, OH, with arrangements and care. Online condolences may be left at olivercheekfuneralhome.com.
