Wiley Green Clary Jr.

Wiley G. Clary, Jr. passed peacefully from this life into life eternal with Jesus Christ, his personal Savior, on July 7, 2025, following a brief illness and rapid decline.
Following graduation from High Point Central High School, Wiley completed his bachelor's degree in business administration at High Point College, where he lettered in football. After college, Wiley enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and Reserves, rising to the rank of Sergeant. He was stationed at Cherry Point, NC, as an aircraft mechanic. Wiley was employed by Swaim Supply Co. and retired after 43 years as Executive Vice President.
Wiley was a lifelong Baptist and served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, Trustee, and Head Usher in the churches where he fellowshipped. Fiercely independent, he continued living on his beloved property, Tick Acres, in Davidson County following the passing of his wife, Nellie J. Clary, in 1995.
Wiley is survived by his children Anne Hall (Larry) of Greensboro, NC; Ed (Melissa) of Norcross, GA; and Dave (Lynn) of Cornelius, NC; along with six grandchildren: Erica Farley, Lex Clary, Eliza Clary, Nate Clary, Lindsay Clary, and Addison Clary; and four great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife; his parents, Wiley Sr. and Pearl Clary; his sister, Jean Bartenfeld; and his infant daughter, Amy Clary.
Wiley was a tireless worker and had an unwavering devotion to his faith. He was known to give wise counsel grounded in his love for and understanding of the Word of God.
A private family gathering will be held on a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial gifts be made to the Nellie J. Clary Scholarship Fund at Provision Financial Resources, 201 Convention Drive, Cary, NC 27511, honoring Wiley's lifelong commitment to his wife, Nell.
Wiley Clary will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.
