Chauvin Funeral Home & Crematory - HoumaWill Gary Williams, a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on October 24, 1931, in Schlater, Mississippi, Will resided in Houma, Louisiana.
Will proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, a testament to his unwavering devotion to service and duty. Following his military career, he worked as a Natural Gas Measurement Technician in the oil and gas industry.
A lover of the outdoors, Will found great joy in tending to his vegetable garden. He also enjoyed spending time in the kitchen and making homemade ice cream. No one could make a better burger or bowl of rice and butter.
Will is survived by his sons, Dean Craig Williams and Dock Williams (Lydia Williams).
Will was especially proud of his role as a Pawpaw. He treasured every moment spent with his 2 grandchildren Katelyn Williams (Michael Adams) and Cory Williams (Ashley Williams). He also created lasting memories full of love and laughter with his 7 great-grandchildren: Colton Medina, Trace Medina, Parker Medina, Levi Williams, Christian Williams, Emerie Williams, and Sebastian Williams.
Will was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sadie Williams, and his parents, Isaac Marion "May" Williams and Draper Vandora Gary Williams, and his sisters, Jetty Young and Claudia Elliott.
As we reflect on Will's life, we remember a man who was a true embodiment of love, strength, and dedication to both family and country. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched.
