Jodie Mier King, age 66, a native of New Iberia and resident of Houma, La, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 4, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.
Jodie is survived by her daughters, Kathy Corbin (Rene Landry) and Kristyn King; her son, Hoffman King III (Lacey); her grandchildren, Alyson Portier, Anthony King, Aydan King, Landyn King, Brianna King, Cierra Corbin, Tyanna Wilson, Rebecca Mcnamara (Brent), Megan Landry (Logan) and Cullen Landry (Samantha); her great-grandchildren, Bentley King, Keelan Corbin, Kohen Carvin, Braxton Mcnamara, Bree Mcnamara, Brynn Mcnamara and Kylie Landry; her brothers, Donald Mier (Kathy), Ricky Mier, Thomas Mier and Timmy Mier; and her brother-in-law, Dalton Thibodeaux (Ann).
Jodie was preceded in passing by her husband, Hoffman King, Jr.; her parents, Dulva Mier, Jr. and Marion Viator Mier; and her sister, Pamela Thibodeaux.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation in honor of Jodie on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Chauvin Funeral Home in Chapel Dauphine from 9:00a.m. until the Funeral Service at 11:00a.m.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Brian Matherne, St. Catherine’s Hospice, her favorite nurse Macie (Gwen) and the rest of the staff at Heritage Manor.
