Willadeen Higgason, age 100, of Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2025, at her residence surrounded by family. She was born in Monroe County, on October 29, 1924 to the late Odis Proffitt and the late Roxie (England) Proffitt. She was a LPN at NHC until she retired and a member of the Glasgow Baptist Church.

Willadeen is survived by her daughter, Alanna (Higgason) Foster; grandchildren, Tuesday Lee Akers, Rodney Lee Scott, Amanda Ann Dewes, Keisha Dyan Scott, Shadah Bree Gipson, Shannon Higgason, Shamala Higgason, Joshua Donelson, Matt Donelson, and Dakota Stepp; great grandchildren, Chyna Puckett, Michael Giles, Haley Warring, Austin Mullannix, Dylan Mullannix, Audrey Mullannix, Alaska Mullins, Avayah Mullins, Jaxial Scott, Brandon Clark, Shannon Gipson, Sophia Gipson, Eli Higgason, Bella Nordmeyer , Silas Pomerinkle , Aria Pomerinkle, Rylyan Donelson, and Lillian Donelson; great great grandchildren, Edward Puckett and Hayden Warring.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, S.W. Higgason; children, Duke Alton Higgason, September Ann Higgason; brothers, Edward Proffitt, Edwin Proffitt; sisters, Alma Dickerson, Marna Goad, Belvia Pare.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Glasgow Baptist Church.

The funeral service for Ms. Higgason will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 21st, at Glasgow Baptist Church with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery under the direction of A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
