William L. Barnes Jr., a cherished father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away peacefully in Eighty Four PA, on October 22, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on September 17, 1943, in Uniontown, PA, Bill was a beloved member of his family, admired for his charismatic personality, clever wit, and generous spirit.
A proud 1961 graduate of St. John's the Evangelist, Bill continued his education with dedication, earning a Master's Degree from California University of Pennsylvania. His professional journey led him to own and operate B&P Builders, where he left an indelible mark through his hard work and commitment to quality craftsmanship. He was particularly known for his love of fixing anything, especially home improvements at the residences of his daughters, where many cherished memories were made.
A veteran of the United States Army, Bill was honorably discharged, and this experience contributed to his disciplined and hardworking nature. He balanced his industriousness with a love for leisure, particularly enjoying time at the beach and the joy of gathering with his daughters and grandchildren. His family was his pride and joy, and he always made time for them amidst his busy schedule.
Bill had a passion for automobiles, often referred to as a car enthusiast. His humorous and engaging demeanor made him well-liked among friends and family alike, with many recalling the laughter he brought into their lives.
He is survived by his daughters, Leslie (John) Stokes and Renee (Brent) Christner, and his grandchildren, Kyla Christner, Colin, and Donovan Stokes. Also left to remember Bill are his brother, Thomas (Joyce) Barnes, close friend Sonny Cross and his 1961 classmates.
William is preceded in death by his father, William Leslie Barnes Sr., and his mother, Stella (McClean) Barnes. As we remember William L. Barnes Jr., we celebrate a life filled with love, laughter, and extraordinary accomplishments that touched the hearts of many.
