William “Bill” Howard Hoover, Jr. passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2023, in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was born March 6, 1932, in Baltimore, Maryland to Mildred and William Hoover, Sr.
Bill worked for the United States Postal Service for 40 years. He was a special assistant to the Postmaster General in Washington D.C. Bill enjoyed model trains and trolleys.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and William Hoover, Sr, daughters, Barbara Lynn Hoover and Grace Hoover, brother, Donald Hoover and brother-in-law, Richard Linardi.
Left to cherish his memory include his wife of 31 years, Martha Jane Hoover; daughters, Susan Cox and husband Ron and Sandra Hoover and husband Steve Row; stepchildren, Michael Cooper, Jr., Angela Morris, and Matthew Cooper; sisters, Roxanna Fenske and husband William, Cassandra Linardi, Pamela Viel and husband Martin and Kimberly Di Tommasso and husband Rocco; brothers, Daniel Hoover and David Hoover and wife Susan Brown; grandchildren, Dustin and Connor Cox; 21 step grand and great grandchildren, and special friends, Zueleika Bradbury, Teri Vanover, and Robinson and Sherlene Bradbury.
A visitation for Bill will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 943 Polk Street, Mansfield, Louisiana, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
