RIP Uncle Bill. After winning my soccer game yesterday and being on that emotional high, it quickly dropped after getting that phone call from Alison. A lot of emotions and memories came across me as my Uncle Bill was also my Godfather. I will always remember the times we had together and the help you have given me throughout the years. You were an inspiration to so many family and friends. A lifelong Mets, Rangers and Giants fan. We bonded over our love of sports. You always were a fan of my athletic accomplishments and came to watch me play any chance you got. Having my first Budweiser the king of beers with you, it has become my favorite and go to beer as it was for you. Be with your beloved wife Norma Jean, brother and sister. Until we meet again. Very emotional writing this. I loved you very much!

Papa, I´m going to miss you greatly. You were the greatest grandpa I could ever ask for. Thank you for pushing Ariana and me to do great things. I´ll never forget your words of encouragement and love. I will always remember the times we shared.

I´m so happy I moved here and got to spend as much time with you as I did. It always made my day seeing you every day during middle school and high school.

I love you so much, Papa. You will forever be in my heart. Thank you so much for everything.

Harley will always love you, too.

I´m going to MISS YOU, old man. Sure, we had our ups and downs, but as the years passed, our bond only got better. The fact that we didn´t have so much as a single argument in the last five years is something I´m grateful for. Last time I visited you in the hospital, you made me LAUGH LOUDLY at least half a dozen times and I appreciate that, too.

Thank you for being wise enough to marry MOM and for providing ALISON and me with the ultimate childhood. Your grandchildren, RUBY & ARIANA, adored you just as much as you adored them, as evidenced by the individual framed photos of your girls hanging proudly on your wall. Any photos of ALISON & me anywhere? NOPE!

You were right about everything you tried to teach me as a younger man. Naturally, I ignored most of it and remember thinking, "What does he know?" Turns out: EVERYTHING. Your love of sports didn´t carry on with me, but your love of MUSIC did. And the way you treated MOM taught me how to treat my wife. And your concern and care for ALISON & me taught me how to treat RUBY.

I appreciate everything you´ve ever done for me.
