William "Everett" Bunch, age 85, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, said "Good morning!" to Jesus at 4:30 a.m. on Monday, June 2, 2025. He was born on May 21, 1940, and was among the first class to graduate in Williams' Chapel at the School of the Ozarks.
Everett married Mary Edwards in Miami, Oklahoma on October 7, 1977. They have been blessed with 47 years together and were looking forward to many more years in the home they have shared for the last 40 years.
Everett was a lifelong truck driver, driving for several companies over his career. He retired after 25 years with EFCO Corporation in Monett, Missouri and then drove part-time for Dan Cline Trucking in Mt. Vernon.
Everett preached for 20 years at Liberty Bible Church south of Madry, Missouri and he officiated weddings and funerals for many family members and friends. He liked to joke that he could "marry or bury!"
Everett was preceded in death by two sons, Chad Everett and "Willie" William Everett, dad, "Hoover" Harrell Everet, mom, Lois Wanda Inmon, stepdad, Cleo Blankenship, and mother-in-law, "Grandma" Bessie Edwards who lived with him for 20 years. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Tom, sister-in-law, Eileen, sisters Carol and Kay, and brothers-in-law, Dave, George, Thomas, Joe, and Frank.
Everett is survived by his wife, Mary, son, Gregory, daughter-in-law, Suzette, daughters, Tara and "Missy" Melissa, son-in-law, Nathan, sister, Wanda, sisters-in-law, Arvilla, Clemmie, Judy, Maxine, and Ruth, and brother-in-law, Charlie. He is also survived by honorary family, Harold, Jason, Kellie, Luke, and Jocelyn, and many other nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Hopedale Cemetery in Ozark, Missouri.
