William “Billy” Stephen Burdett Jr., 50, of Dickinson, ND, passed away unexpectedly on May 10, 2024. Private family services have taken place.
Billy was born on July 13, 1973, in Riverdale, GA, to William “Steve” Burdett Sr. and Sybil Burdett.
Billy grew up in Forest Park, GA, and later moved to Denver, CO, before settling in Dickinson, ND, where he worked in the oilfield and raised his family. He enjoyed spending time outdoors with his loved ones, particularly camping, fishing, and kayaking with his children. Billy had a generous heart and often helped families and children in need.
Known for his storytelling and sense of humor, Billy had a talent for turning mundane moments into memorable adventures. He had a passion for music and always had a song playing. Billy never met a stranger and made friends wherever he went. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Billy is survived by his fiancée, Vanessa Rehbein; his children, Michael Burdett, Willard Kieson, Addyson Burdett, Brayden Rehbein, and Izayah Rehbein; honorary son, Silas Rehbein; his parents, Sybil and Steve Burdett; his sister, Rhonda (Rob) Knowles; his brother, Christopher (Carrie) Burdett; his niece, Presley Burdett; and his dog, Roxy “Girlfriend”.
Billy is proceeded in death by his maternal grandparents, Sanford and Ruby Nash, and paternal grandparents, Rita Gross and Abner Burdett.
