Casey, William L.
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. A Saint Paul native and proud graduate of Cretin High School and the University of St. Thomas, Bill passed away peacefully on July 31, 2025, at the age of 96. Preceded in death by his dearly missed wife, Patricia; parents, William and Evelyn; brother Jim; and so many friends.
He will be missed beyond words by his grateful children, Tom (Annette), Kay (Chris) Dalhed, Mary (Mike) Keating, Michael (Karen), John (Lynne) and Steven; 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; his dear brother Bud; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was a long-time teacher and coach for School District 197 in West St. Paul, MN. He was a passionate golfer, mischief maker and prankster, friend, husband, dad, and Irishman. He loved sports, especially his hometown Twins and coaching high school baseball. He also shared his artistic gifts through drawing and amazing woodcarvings.
He taught us the value of family, hard work, and lifelong friends. That being tough as nails and a big softy are not mutually exclusive. And that it's always a good time to laugh.
A special thank you to all those at Stonehaven Senior Living and Minnesota Hospice for providing such wonderful care and kindness.
Mass of Christian Burial 11am Tuesday, August 12th at the CHURCH OF ST JOSEPH, 1154 Seminole Ave, West St Paul. Visitation 9am-11am at the church. Luncheon to follow Mass.
Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery
