William “Bill” Heywood Conner, 78, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025, from complications of Parkinson’s Disease. Born on May 31, 1947, in Salt Lake City, Utah, he lived the first 51 years of his life on the West Coast, spending time in California, Oregon, and Washington. In 1998, he and his wife, Jolene Conner, moved their family to New Jersey. Shortly after Jolene passed away earlier this year, he went to live out his remaining days in New Mexico with his daughter, Bethany, and her family.
Bill was a gifted engineer who enjoyed the challenge of solving difficult problems. He was an avid reader and had a deep love of learning. He also enjoyed working with his hands, especially wood and leather crafting.
He was predeceased by his sweet wife, Jolene, his parents, Oliver and Jenness Conner, and his siblings Rikki Conner, Raymond Conner, and Lisa Gentry. He is survived by his children, Brenna & Brian Timothy, Benjamin & Anna Conner, Joseph Conner, Andrew & Alene Conner, and Bethany & Dane Hansen, as well as his 17 grandchildren.
Bill will be interred with his wife in West Jordan, Utah.
