William Cooper Obituary

Published by Legacy on Dec. 30, 2025.
William "Bill" Louis Cooper, 65, of Avondale, Arizona, passed away on December 6, 2025. Bill was born on July 17, 1960, in Pueblo, Colorado, to Roy James and Vivian Marie (Kastelic) Cooper. A proud Colorado native and lifelong Denver Broncos fan, Bill carried his love for the team especially for John Elway. Bill's life was defined by hard work, dedication and deep love for family. He began his career in construction before moving into the field of safety, where his passion for protecting others truly begin. He went onto work for OSHA and State Fund, later opening his own safety consulting company, Coopers Safety Services. After successfully building and selling his business to Insure Compliance, Bill continued working there until his passing. Through his career, Bill served as a mentor to many of friends, family and co-workers. Bill truly believed that safety always came first. Outside of work, Bill found his greatest joy in the outdoors and with the people he loved most. He cherished riding his Can-Am through the mountains, camping, and making memories alongside the love of his life, his wife Sherry, or as Bill called her, "Mama." Bill is survived by his best friend and wife Sherry, his sisters Debbie Allen (Haden) and Tammy Topping (Curt) sister- in-law Kay Cooper, and his beloved nieces and nephews Ryan Allen, Haden Allen (Andrea), Autumn Dorrance (JD), Nicholas Allen (Hannah), Lucas Topping, Jacob Topping (Brittany), Joshua Cooper (Nicole), and Ashley Cooper, along with many great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Roy James Cooper and Vivian Marie (Kastelic) Cooper, his brother James "Jim" Cooper, and his in-laws Max and Shirley Radiff. A celebration of Bill's life will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Trinity Mennonite Church, 4334 W. Vista Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301. A reception will follow the service. In Bill's honor, the family invites everyone to wear Denver Broncos gear or the team's colors Blue and orange. Bill's legacy will live on in the countless lives he protected, the people he mentored, and the family he loved so much. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
