William Christ DeMoss

Phoenix, AZ - passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, in Phoenix, Arizona at the age of 97. He is preceded in death by his parents Chrysanthe and Christ, brothers John and James, sisters Harriet and Theodora. He is survived by his brothers Charles and Michael (Maureen), and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was a physician, practicing for over 40 years in Tolleson, Arizona, caring for many people and tending to the poor. Bill was a Diplomat of the American Board of Family Practice; received the Practitioners Award from the Arizona Academy of Pediatrics for his contributions to adolescent health and the fight against substance abuse. In his retirement, Bill served as a volunteer physician at St. Vincent de Paul Free Medical Dental Clinic, which he founded under the direction of Mother Teresa. In addition, he served as a consultant and volunteer with the Arizona Diabetes Control Program and wrote articles and conducted classes on Diabetes in English and Spanish at inner-city clinics, reservations, and outlying towns in Arizona. He also served as a founding board member of Texas A & M Law School.

Bill was a man of deep faith and supported the Greek Orthodox Churches in Arizona and Minnesota. He lived a life serving others, generous with his time and talent supporting many causes in hopes of helping those in need. He will be greatly missed. May his memory be Eternal. Private family services will be held.
