We are brokenhearted to announce on February 17, 2024, William John Donaghy has peacefully passed away at the age of 80. "Bill" is survived by his devoted wife, Linda (nee Exner) of 55 years. Beloved father to Maureen Felle (Anthony), and Paul (Karen) and loving PopPop to James Clark, Tessa Donaghy, and Kevin Weintraub. Survived by sister Rosemarie Sicinski and sister-in-law Leslie O'Brien (Robert); as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents James and Rose Donaghy and siblings Nancy Sonderschafer and his dear twin brother James Donaghy.
Bill was born and raised in the Swamp Poodle area of Philadelphia. He spent 31 years working for the Department of Defence (DLA) in Northeast Philadelphia. He loved spending time with family and friends. His passion in life was playing golf. He enjoyed bowling and traveling in the U.S. and abroad. He was a devoted Catholic. He loved taking his children to their sports events when they were young and helped coach their teams, especially soccer. In his retirement, he devoted his time to his grandchildren and they always came first. Many years were spent in Ocean City and Wildwood with family and friends. Since he was a true Irishman, Irish weekend was always a top priority. Bill will be missed by all.
Relatives and friends are invited to Bill's Life Celebration on Thursday, February 22, 2024, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at St. John Bosco Church. Mass will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment is private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's name may be sent to American Legion Post 798, PO Box 674, Hatboro, PA 19040.

I knew Bill in the years I worked for the Gov´t in Northeast Philadelphia. I remember Bill as a nice and friendly guy. He also had strong opinions that I respected. I believe we retired around the same time, and only saw him a couple times afterwards. Bill will be remembered in my prayers, and my condolences to his wife Linda and his Family.

I remember Bill as a cool calm and collected gentleman. He would always speak of his golf he loved golf. Many times he would wait on Linda from work. We´d say Linda Bills ready and she´d always say I´m almost ready. Bill was a great guy and he will surely be missed. Praying for Linda and the family during this most difficult time. -Tonya Collins

After all these years, I remember Bill & his brother, Jim, walking me to kindergarten and spending nights at their home. I was only four or five. He was a great guy and put up with my endless chattering. I'll see you guys on the other side. It'll be one huge family reunion. - Bev Slimmer
