William Eliasek Obituary
William J. Eliasek, 78, of Schaumburg, Illinois, sadly passed away suddenly March 25, 2025. Bill was a graduate of Larkin High School in Elgin, IL and received his bachelor's and master's degrees at Northern Illinois University. He was an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America, a Junior High art teacher for 34 years primarily in Schaumburg District #54, and was involved in many committees and organizations.
He was a loving and devoted husband to Mary Jane "Jani" for 54 years; and terrific father to his daughter, Jami. He leaves behind his two brothers, Tom Eliasek of Roselle, IL and Don (Ruthanne) Eliasek of Naples, FL. His nieces, Lisa (Kevin) Montague, Rachel (Bobby) Dev and nephew, Brian (Jessica) Eliasek; sister-in-law, Peggy (Dan) Liemandt and brother-in-law, Tom (Nancy) Wichser.
Bill was preceded in death by his son, Jason Eliasek; his parents, Rose and Wilbur Eliasek; and his in-laws, Margaret and Frank Wichser.
Bill was blessed to have a large extended family of relatives, friends and co-workers. He never met a stranger he didn’t like, he had a great sense of humor and will be remembered for his larger than life laugh and his warm heart.
Visitation Sunday, April 13, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Monday, April 14, from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service 11:00 a.m. all at Salerno’s Rosedale Chapels, 450 W Lake St., Roselle. Interment Lakewood Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in William’s name to The Special Leisure Services Foundation or NWSRA, 3000 Central Road, Rolling Meadows IL 60008.

I am 55 years old and to this day- Mr. Eliasek remains my all-time favorite teacher! He was the most encouraging, inspiring and supportive teacher who made me believe in myself and the art projects that I created in Jr. High remain my best work and I still have them stored away- with Mr. Eliasek's encouraging words and the A++'s on the back! I was incredibly sad to hear of his passing... my Mom was a teacher and I found out from her. My sincere condolences to his family- we lost my brother and my Dad in the last few years and I know how heartbreaking it is. Rest in peace, Mr. Eliasek! I will never forget you!

Gosh where to start?? Such a genuine, nice man, and Jani so sweet and caring. All I know is he joins my mom and so many others from Addams in heaven. It´s so hard , but they are all up there. They are looking down on us and giving us signs as we navigate their passing. God bless to the Eliasek family and may his memory be a blessing

Our neighborhood won't be the same without Bill keeping a caring eye on all of us, coordinating our driveway sealing and other maintenance, and always taking a moment to wave hello. We miss him.

I'm deeply saddened ... As co-members together on several Schaumburg Township committees, I admired Bill´s insight, experience, and great ideas for community participation. He clearly had a passion for helping and supporting others. But above all, I believe his good-naturedness, gentleness, and humanity will be remembered most. RIP Bill.

Bill was a great friend and colleague at Addams Junior High School in Schaumburg. Eating lunch at school with Bill was always filled with laughter. He was the one that encouraged me to get involved with the SEA. He was a great mentor for leadership. I will always remember our trip to Spain. So much fun! Gone too soon.
