William "Bill" Leroy Everroad, 71, of Columbus, passed from this life at 12:47 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Bill was born September 26, 1953, in Seymour, Indiana, the son of Henry and Irene Blanchard Everroad.
Mr. Everroad worked as a custodian for the City of Columbus for several years before retiring. In his younger years, he served in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1975.
Survivors include his children, Catrina (Anthony) Sanchez of Naples, Florida, Lisa Simons, William Everroad, both of South Carolina; three grandchildren; sisters, Rosa (Maurice) Nicholson of Lynn, Indiana, Elizabeth "Liz" Dean, Juanita Scott Alvin, both of Columbus; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Gloria Dettmer; brother-in-law, Walter Dean; brother, Johnny Everroad and niece, Toyna Rader.
In keeping with the family's request, cremation will take place and a committal service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, Indiana. Military honors will be presented by the Major Samuel Woodfill Post No. 9 of the American Legion.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project.
