William Henry 'Bill' Farr, 55, of Muskogee was born January 31, 1968 in Muskogee to Amos Henry and Wanda Sue (Burnett) Farr and peacefully passed away, Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at his home with his family at his side. Bill grew up in Muskogee where he attended Hilldale High School graduating with the class of 1986 with his twin sister, Sara. He continued his education at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater and Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. He was a proud member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. Bill started his career with the Dept of Veterans Affairs as a Veterans Claims Examiner in the Education Service, retiring in 2018. He also worked for many years mowing lawns throughout the Muskogee area as well as owning his own lawn company. He married the love of his life, Cindy Arnett on October 11, 2013, in Muskogee. He had numerous interests including computers, video games, and tinkering with his automobiles. He loved grilling out, watching baseball, watching car shows, and playing good game of golf with his brother-in-law. He was an avid University of Oklahoma football and Dallas Cowboys fan. He enjoyed his beloved cats and helping others when they were in need. Bill was a gentle spirit with kindness and compassion for everyone. He will be truly missed.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Amos Farr and Wanda Farr; paternal grandparents, Vivian and Max Nicholas; maternal grandparents, Mamie Lee and Loyd Burnett; father & mother-in-law, Jim and Margie Arnett.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Cindy of the home; sons, Kevin Koel and wife Sara of St. Louis, MO, and Jeremy Koel of Shawnee, OK; his sisters, Cathy Guthrie and husband, Ron of Bixby, OK; and Sara Kyte and husband Jay of Oklahoma City, OK; a niece, Lindsay Blalock and husband Brent of Overland Park, KS; extended family and many friends.
A celebration of Bill's life will be held 1PM, Monday, August 14, 2023, at Fort Gibson Church of Christ with Deacon David Perry officiating.
