William Randall Fornes, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and remarkable over-the-road trucker, left this world on June 25, 2025, in Biloxi, Mississippi. Born on January 10, 1963, in Beaufort County, North Carolina, William lived his life with a profound commitment to his family and an unwavering work ethic that touched the lives of many.
William’s career as a trucker allowed him to traverse nearly every state in America and even into Canada, creating memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He was known for his humor and his ability to connect with anyone, often stating that he had never met a stranger. His jovial personality lit up the journeys he undertook, and he often reminisced about the cherished times spent traveling the roads with his beloved wife, Carol, and their children.
For 40 wonderful years, William shared a beautiful partnership with Carol. He was not just a husband; he was her steadfast supporter and a loving companion who dedicated himself to the well-being of his family. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, love, and shared adventures that included long drives and cherished moments at the fishing pier.
William took great pride in being a father to his five children: Michael, Dana, Daniel (Ashley), and Tiffany. The joys of fatherhood were only surpassed by the love he held for his eight grandchildren: Taylor, Ethan, Sean, Lilli, Daniel, Nathan, Finley, and Elijah. William found joy cheering on his grandkids at their sporting events. He was a constant source of love and encouragement in their lives.
Among his proudest accomplishments was his unwavering dedication to his family. He was a man who knew where he stood in life, taking care of Carol and his children with everything in his being.
