It is with great sadness that the family on April 19, 2023 announced the passing of William L. Foster. Father, grandfather and friend. The son of the late Eugene and Emily (O'Dell) Foster. William was married to the late Caroline Ruth (Kern) Foster.
William worked for Dow Chemical Company for 30 years. After retiring at the age of 55 he began a new career, which he said he always to do, with Smith-Miner Funeral home where he worked until his passing. He had two wonderful children Rodney William (Karen) Foster and Sherri Jean (Wendell Ruder) Foster. His grandchildren Lake, Skye, Lainey and Teaghan. His siblings Carolyn (Al) Owens and Gerald (Georgia) Foster. William left behind nephews, nieces, cousins and good friends. He was predeceased by his brother and sister-in-law John and Bev Foster.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, April 24, 2023 at St. Johns Lutheran Church with Pastor Josh Parsons officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, April 23, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Smith-Miner Funeral Home and on Monday, at the church, from 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial will take place at Midland City Cemetery.
