It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of William "Bill" Forrest Gardner, who passed away on August 30, 2024, in Springfield, MO. Born to William Dennis and Linda Kay (O'Neal) Gardner on October 31, 1967, in Ardmore, OK, Bill enjoyed a fulfilling life that touched the hearts of those who knew him.
Bill was a 1986 graduate from Parkview High School in Springfield, MO. His love for exotic cars, particularly Porsches, began during his early years while working for an exotic car company and as a member of The Porsche Club of America. He cherished the thrill and elegance these vehicles exuded and one of his favorite pastimes was taking leisurely country drives.
The same analytical mind which drew him to the engineering of sports cars eventually brought him to technology during his life and career. A passionate computer hobbyist and gamer in his youth, he transitioned his love for technology into a successful career as a network administrator and managed services project manager. In these roles he formed trusting and meaningful bonds with his many clients, some of whom selected his company because they knew they could count on Bill.
Preceded in death by his father and mother, Bill touched the lives of many in his own quiet yet profound way. He treasured his family deeply, and his memory will be forever cherished by his surviving relatives, including his brother Richard Gardner, sister-in-law Kristin Gardner, and nieces Lily, Eleanora, and Beatrix Gardner. His stepmother Jane Gardner and aunt Nancy England also hold him close in their hearts. Bill will also be missed by his old schnauzer companion, Buddy.
A graveside service to honor Bill's life will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens on September 13, 2024, at 10:00 am. As we gather to bid farewell to Bill, we remember him for his kind spirit, unwavering love for his family, and his passion for the things he held dear. May his soul find eternal peace.
