William Godbee Obituary
Family members, in addition to his wife, include his children: Tonya Posey (Kevin) and William "Bill" Godbee (Rebecca "Becky"); grandchildren: Taylor Roach (Ajay), Lauren Davis, William "Liam" Godbee, Mason Godbee, and Rhys Godbee; mother of his children: Martha Godbee Robinson; sisters: Winnie Godbee Hamilton and Diane Godbee Farrer; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Pearl Perry Godbee, and brothers, Ray Godbee and Charlie Godbee.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren on the lake. He was an avid scuba diver and bow hunter.
Memorial contributions may be made to Forces United, formerly known as the Wounded Warrior Project, 701 Greene St., Augusta, GA 30901.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 A.M., at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors, 214 Davis Rd., Augusta, GA 30907 (706) 364-8484.
