William "Bill" Gordon

A Cox's Creek resident, Mr. William "Bill" Allen Gordon, age 72, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at Flaget Hospital. He was born May 31, 1953 in Cox's Creek to the late James Dotson and Eugenia Stump Gordon. Bill retired from Mago Construction after 22 years and owned and operated Bill Gordon Trucking. He was a member of Little Union Baptist Church. Bill loved tractor pulling and enjoyed riding horses. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 siblings, Harold Gordon, Brenda Howard, Nancy Lanham and Donna Glass. He is survived by his wife, Stacy Helton Gordon, his son, Travis (Laura) Gordon of Fairfield, his daughter, Amy (Lonnie) Johnson of Shelbyville, his stepdaughter, Heather (Adam) Herndon of Bloomfield, 5 siblings, Jim Gordon, Roy (Koren) Gordon, Tom (Elaine) Gordon, all of Cox's Creek, Lisa (Ron) Poole, Robert "Potty" (Paula) Gordon, both of Taylorsville, his grandson, Lucas Gordon and 3 step grandchildren, Ethan, Logan and Peyton Herndon. Funeral services for Mr. William "Bill" Allen Gordon will be 11:00 am Saturday, December 6, 2025 at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home in Bardstown. Bro. Chad Goodlett will officiate. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00-8:00 pm and Saturday after 9:00 am until time of the funeral service. The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
