William Trennouth Gray (Bill), 67 of Casa Grande, AZ and formerly Lawson, MO, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024.
Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:30 pm on Friday, March 8, 2024, at the United Christian Presbyterian Church, with Pastor Barry Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at the Lawson Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2:30 pm directly before the service. The family requests no flowers and instead making a memorial contribution to the Choir & Band department at Lawson High School. Donations can be sent to Amanda Mack, 2814 Quail Dr. St. Joseph, MO 64506.
Survivors include Amanda (Dominic) Mack, Adrian, Amory & Aycen Gray, Betty Gray, Donna Black, Laura King & Russell Deaver, Denton & Lindley Deaver, Halley & Steve Parker, Riley Boltz, Timber Parker, Lindsay Black & Tyler Davich. His father preceded him in death in 2014. Multiple Aunts, Uncles, Cousins who are well loved.
Bill was born on October 23, 1956 to Betty & Trennouth Gray in Excelsior Springs, MO. After Bill graduated from Lawson High School in 1975, he went on to study Education at Missouri Western State College.
After graduating with a degree in Education, he taught for several years before changing careers to Insurance/Financial Services.
He married Karen (Zimmerman) Combs in 1977 and Bill and Karen had 2 children, Amanda (Gray) Mack and Adrian Gray.
Bill was a devoted father and grandfather. He was proud of his children's accomplishments and adored his two grandchildren. He spoiled them with gifts and shared his love for music.
Bill had a passion for music and was a talented performer and singer. He played in two bands, Flying Silos/Des Moines, IA, and The Rolling Bones/Casa Grande, AZ. He also enjoyed golf, singing, dancing, wine, basketball, football, and of course was a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan!!!! He was always the life of the party, always had a smile on his face, and left an impact on everyone he encountered. Bill will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
