Mr. William Bob Gregory, age 89, of Franklin, KY, passed away on May 29, 2024, at the Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green KY.

Mr. Gregory’s wishes were to be cremated with services at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia.

Bob was born on November 26, 1934 in Simpson County KY to the late Hauty May Lawrence and the late William Henry Gregory.  He is preceded in death by his first wife of 44 years, Norma Louise Pitt Gregory.  

He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Beverly Gregory of Franklin, KY; 2 children, Cindy Coffman (Danny) of Russellville, KY and Scott Gregory (Teresa) of Bowling Green, KY; 4 grandchildren, Keith Coffman (Taylor), Greg Coffman (Kristina), Ali Gregory (Landon) and Lauren Fishback (Nelson); 8 great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Thelma Johns and Brenda Purdue.

Bob graduated from the University of Kentucky and was in the United States Military.  He retired after 27 years as a Sergeant Major.  He worked for Logan County High School doing the ROTC program.  He worked for the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.  He moved to Gulfport, MS in 2008 and lived in the Armed Forces Retirement Center.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Franklin.  He loved his two dogs Lily and Lucy.  In his free time Bob enjoyed golf, camping, and singing and playing the keyboard.

Memorial donations can be made to First Baptist Church, Franklin KY or to Hospice of Southern Kentucky, Bowling Green, KY.
