William "Glenn" Grigsby

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 12:00 pm at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette, LA for William 'Glenn' Grigsby, 84, who passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at his residence in DeRidder, LA.

Visitation will be observed at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette, LA on Monday, November 10, 2025, from 9:30 am until the time of service.
Entombment will follow in Fountain Memorial Cemetery in Lafayette, LA.

Reverend Weldon Moak, of Broussard, will officiate.

William Glenn Grigsby, affectionately known as Glenn, was born November 7, 1940, in Elkhart, TX and was a long-time resident of Acadiana. He graduated from Sulphur High School in Sulphur, LA. It was there he started is football journey. After high school, he attended McNeese State University in Lake Charles, LA and continued his athletic passion for football and other sports. Glenn worked as a Field Foreman in the Oil Industry.

It was a given that Glenn was an avid football fan and watched every football game ever televised. Television was definitely a necessity in their home. He loved the country and spending time with his cattle. In a unique way, he had a special connection with each animal on the farm. On top of the most loved list, his family always came first and his flip-phone kept them near and he visited with them when he was able. Family meant everything to Glenn, and he leaves a legacy of love and will be deeply missed.

Glenn is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Sandra Fleniken Grigsby, of DeRidder; his three children, Shelley Grigsby, of Lafayette and Glenna Olivier and her husband, Gary, of Scott and Lance Grigsby and his wife, Sharon, of Sulphur; his six grandchildren, Garrett Grigsby, Katie Cotter, Alyse Jasinczuk, Hilarie Sedano, Kinsley Crappell and Zachary Olivier and his 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, D.B. and Texas Brinson Grigsby and his brother, Dwight Grigsby.
