Mr. William Leslie Guinn, Jr. was born January 13, 1955 to the union of William Leslie Guinn, Sr. and Barbara Guinn in Nashville, Tennessee. He departed this earthly life on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at The Veterans Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.
William received his formal educate in the Davidson County Public School System, and was a graduate of East High School. He continued his education by attending Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee.
William enlisted in the United States Armed Forces branch of the Army. After his four years of service, he received an Honorable Discharge.
William began his Christian journey with Church of Christ where he was baptized in a watery grave. William was a faithful and dedicated servant until his health began to fail. William was employed as a Bus Driver with MNPS, Metro Transit.
William enjoyed reading, watching football and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs. He also enjoyed listening to music, playing chess, and backgammon, he mostly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. When able he would have gatherings to share good food with his loved ones.
William was preceded in death by his parents, William and Barbara Guinn, Sr., his sister, Sherri Green and brother, brother Gary Guinn.
Those left to cherish his loving memories are his daughter, Twala N. Smith, grandson Timothy Flounoy; sisters, Norma (GiGi), and Toni Guinn, nephews Calvin E. Russell Jr., Anthony G. Wilkerson; niece Valencia Prather, devoted friend Eric Northern, devoted caregivers Luther and Janet Hill, Betty Johnson, house mate Roger Prince, host of devoted relatives and dear friends.
