He is preceded in death by his mother Louise Heidelberg and grandparents Willia T. O'Connor, Sr. "Piddler" and Pauline O'Connor.
Micharl is survived by two brothers James H. Heidelberg (Wendy) and Donald Heidelberg and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 17th at Vincent Funeral Home, 417 11th Street, West Point, VA 23181. Interment will follow in Sunny Slope Cemetery. The family will receive friends an hour before the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to VCU Massey Cancer Center, www.masseycancercenter.org.
