William Phillip "Bill" Helphenstine, 71, Marion, passed away at 3:05 pm on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, in his home. He was born in Flemingsburg, Kentucky, on Thursday, March 2, 1950, to Leo and Beulah (Insko) Helphenstine. He married his loving wife, Linda Lee Adams, who survives.
Bill attended Fleming High School and was a mechanic throughout his career. He loved dancing to Elvis music, as well as playing guitar. He also enjoyed gambling on occasion and pushing people's buttons at times. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Linda, Bill is survived by his son, Jamie Lee (Tasha) Helphenstine of Marion; granddaughter, Kayla Helphenstine; grandsons, Jacob Alexander (Stefanie Markowski) Costner of Marion, Jordan Allen Costner of Marion; great-granddaughters, Makinlee and Makyia; great-grandsons, Elijah, Silas, Carson, and Jacoby; sisters, Connie (Daniel) Hagerman and Linda Hickerson; brothers, Michael Helphenstine, Leslie Helphenstine, and James Helphenstine; sister-in-law, Carol Helphenstine; and nephew, Bradley Helphenstine.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Terry Helphenstine, Leo Helphenstine, and Danny Helphenstine; sister, Rebecca Helphenstine; and daughter, Russtina Marie Costner.
At Bill's request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service.
Arrangements are entrusted to Integrity Funeral Care, 2901 S. Washington St., Marion, IN.
