Davey E. Brenneman

January 3, 1944 ~ September 16, 2025

Davey E. Brenneman, 81, of Upland, passed away at 10:38 am on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on Monday, January 3, 1944, to Arlo and Madge (Caudill) Brenneman. On January 23, 2004, he married Faith Henderson, who survives.

Dave attended Marion High School and enlisted in the United States Army where he was a part of the long-range reconnaissance patrol. He took great pride in this training as a paratrooper. He achieved the rank of Private First Class and was honorably discharged just prior to the start of the Vietnam War. After military service, Dave graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University and dedicated his time to being a Licensed Social Worker. He retired from Archer Consultation Services in 2006. In addition to being a faithful member of Center Chapel Church in Marion, Dave met with a group named The Filling Station in Upland where he deepened his roots in praise and worship. Dave owned Pop Dave's Fudge which later grew into Pop Dave's Pies. Dave was a great outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. More than anything, Dave loved God and loved sharing his testimony and leading others to the saving power of Jesus Christ. He will be missed dearly.

In addition to his loving wife, Faith Brenneman, Dave is survived by his daughters, Melissa (Bryon) Winters of Upland, Debra Hueston of Marion, and Ashley (Travis) Smith of Marion; grandchildren, Kelsey Winters, Zachary (Abby) Winters, Anna (Seth) Bowles, Will (Hannah) Hueston, Joseph (Shea) Hueston, Hunter Smith, Seth Troxell, and Kathleen Smith; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Dora "Dee Dee" (Richard) Snow of Kokomo; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; best friend, George (Diana) Smith; many close friends that he went hunting and fishing with; his beloved cat, Sammy, III; and his beloved dogs, Ruby and Opal.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arlo Brenneman; mother, Madge Brenneman; sister, Connie Daugherty; brother, Roger Brenneman; granddaughter, Gracie Troxell; and great-granddaughter, Audrie Bowles.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Monday, September 22, 2025, at Marion National Cemetery - Protestant Chapel, 1700 E. 38th St., Marion, IN.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a funeral service to celebrate Dave's life will be held at 12 on Monday, at Marion National Cemetery - Protestant Chapel. Burial will follow at Marion National Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Integrity Funeral Care, 1606 W. 26th St., Marion, IN.
