William B. "Bill" Heslet, age 74 of Fremont, OH, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2025, at the Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky, OH. Bill was born February 8, 1951, in Fremont, the son of Lyle and Helen (Rowe) Heslet.
Bill graduated from Fremont Ross High School in 1970. He dedicated over 35 years to W.S.O.S. (now GLCAP), delivering Meals on Wheels to seniors and working as a TRIPS driver before retiring in 2010. In his free time, he enjoyed playing the guitar, singing, dancing, golfing, and riding his motor scooter. He especially loved meeting up with his friends from the Class of 1970 for their monthly lunches and spending time with his grandchildren. Bill was also a devoted Detroit Lions fan.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Julie (Adam) Young of Fremont; grandchildren: Tyler Heslet, Colton (Rebecca Johnson) Bell, Allison (Camdyn) Marshall, and Emma Young; brothers: Art (Joan) Heslet of Bowling Green, OH, and Richard (Alice) Heslet of Fremont; good friend throughout life, Beckie Heslet of Fremont; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, from 10:00am until a funeral service beginning at 12:00pm at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Hwy, Clyde, OH 43410. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
Memorial donations may be made to assist the family with funeral expenses.
