William "Bill" Kinsey

William "Bill" Kinsey, 62, of Somersworth, NH, passed away peacefully at home on November 17, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 31, 1962, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the youngest of 9 to Charles and Dolly (Odom) Kinsey.
Bill was an active, passionate, and hands-on person in every aspect of his life. He was an Airman First Class in the United States Air Force from 1984-1990. For more than 20 years he worked as a Technical Specialist at Formax, a place he truly loved-and where he was loved and respected in return. His dedication, willingness to help, and joyful approach to problem-solving made him a valued part of the Formax family.
A proud and committed member of the Somersworth community, Bill poured his heart into local youth athletics, especially Somersworth Youth Softball. Over the years, he served as league President, coach, travel team coach, and-after his daughters aged out of the program-an umpire. He simply could not stay away. He had a special gift for encouraging young players, often offering guidance even while calling the game. Malley Farm Field, which he insisted had "the good air," became his happy place and a beloved part of his life.
Bill was a devoted New England sports fan-by many definitions, a true fanatic-especially when it came to his New England Patriots. His enthusiasm was so legendary that he once received a large novelty football filled with smaller, soft footballs specifically so he could toss them at the television without risk of needing a new one.
Bill was just a big kid. He loved everything and everyone with his whole self. His fun loving, easy going attitude, along with his sparkling blue-eyed smile, left a lasting imprint on everyone he met. His generosity, humor, commitment, and kindness touched his family, coworkers, players, and countless community members. He will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Mary (Hardy) Kinsey; his daughters, Ashley (Peter) Harris and Kailey Kinsey; and his cherished granddaughter, Juliet Harris, whose password is always "Papa."
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Bill's name to your local youth softball program-an organization and mission that meant the world to him.
Friends and family are called to visit from 11 AM - 12 PM on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Ave, Dover, NH. A service will follow at 12 PM at the funeral home.
