William Fredrick "Fred" Kious Jr., 62, of Mountain View, Missouri, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2024.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 17, 2024, in Hillcrest Cemetery in Carterville.
Fred was born on May 16, 1962, in Greeneville, Illinois, to Dorothy Marie (Loos) and William Fredrick Kious Sr. He married Mary Melinda Bradley on April 16, 2024.
He is survived by his wife, Melinda Kious; children, Tiffany (Brandon) Martin of Marion, Shawn (Cherry) Wise of Fitzgerald, Georgia, and Ashley Wise of Fitzgerald, Georgia; four loving grandchildren; four loving great-grandchildren; siblings, Mark Anthony (Brenda) Kious of Paris, Texas, Kelly Ray (Traci) Kious of Saginaw, Texas, and Paul Brian (Pamela) Kious of Piedmont, South Carolina; mother-in-law, Linda McCoy of Carterville; and six loving nieces and nephews.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Tina Marie Kious; and brother-in-law, Tony Newland.
He enjoyed watching TCU and the Dallas Cowboys football, riding his Harley, and spending time with family and friends.
Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville assisted the family with local arrangements.
