William Lance Lenoir, 54, of Clanton, Alabama passed away July 12, 2023 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
He was born October 18, 1968, in Clanton, Alabama, son of Dale Lenoir and the lateWillie Hancock Lenoir.
He was a IT Specialist with In-Line. He was a 3 time State of Alabama high jump champion where he set the state record that stood for 37 years at 6 feet, 10 1/2 inches. He was national champion in high jump in 1987 at Chilton County High School. He went on to the University of Alabama on a track scholarship.
Surviving are his Father, Dale Lenoir; Brother, Tommy (Suzanne) Lenoir; Nephew, Phillip Lenoir and Will (Kelson) Lenoir; Uncle, Kenny Lenoir; Aunt, Linda Lenoir Faulkner.
He was preceded in death by his Mother, Willie Hancock Lenoir.
Friends will be received Monday, July 17, 2023, 1:00 p.m. from 2:30 p.m. at Clanton First Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 17, 2023, at 2:30 p.m. at Clanton First Methodist Church with Rev. Wes Kelly and Rev. Kenny Lenoir officiating.
Interment will follow in Liberty Hill Baptist Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama.
Pallbearers will be David Smith, David Moore, Calvin Wilburn, Bryan Hancock, Phillip Lenoir and Will Lenoir.
