William F. Lex, age 78, husband of Kathleen C. (Glasgow) Lex of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024. Born on August 14, 1946, in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late A. Katherine (Ruhl) and William J. Lex.
Born and raised in Northern Liberties, Bill was a graduate of Roman Catholic High School. He received his BS in Marketing from St. Josephs College in Philadelphia. He went on to be a founding partner of Lex & Smith Associates, Ltd., a financial services firm in King of Prussia.
Bill loved playing tennis, bike rides at the shore and long walks with his many poodles something for which he was known throughout the neighborhood. He enjoyed time with his family & friends, whether in Valley Forge or Avalon. He was a devout Catholic who supported a great many charities, particularly Catholic Charities, Wounded Warriors & Tunnel to Towers Foundation. In addition, he was a former board member of St. Mary's Shelter, Phoenixville & Redemptorist Priests, Annapolis, MD. He was also a member of St. John Neumann Society & the Steward of St. John Neumann.
Most importantly, Bill was a jovial, dependable & loving man. He was always at the ready to assist anyone, at any time, any place.
In addition to Kathy, his loving wife of 59 years, Bill is survived by his daughters: Kathleen M. (Loraine McEvoy) Lex and Kimellen (Glenn) Lex-Remar, grandsons: Ryan & Aidan Remar: siblings: Gerard (Cynthia), George (Lynn) Lex, & Linda (Roy) Sullivan and numerous nieces, nephews & cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandson: William Danny Remar; brother and sister-in law: Allan and Carolann Anderson; and in-laws: Leslie and Katherine Glasgow.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, November 25, 2024 at 10:00 am at St. Isaac Jogues, 50 W. Walker Road, Wayne. Officiating will be the Rev. Stephen A. Moerman. Interment will follow in the Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia, PA. Friends will be received Sunday evening from 5:00 PM- 7:00 PM at Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville.
